Interval-Valued Complex Fuzzy Soft Set and Its Application

Recently, analyzing pattern in complex data sets has captured the attention of many researchers. Some of the researchers have focused on the analysis of complex data set using the properties of fuzzy concept lattice and the complex vague soft set (CVSS) model. This paper is focused on handling complex data sets using the properties of interval-valued complex fuzzy soft sets (IV-CFSSs) for precise representation of partial ignorance. This IV-CFSS model allows us to validate or moderate the information provided by an observer by an expert, at a given phase of time, using the properties of complex fuzzy sets. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by solving an MCDM problem related to measuring the effects of economic policies implemented by the Malaysian government, and the time taken for these effects to manifest itself on selected sectors of the Malaysian economy. We introduce an aggregation operator for reducing the multiple components in the proposed model into a single component with the aim of analyzing the decision making process in a precise manner. The analysis derived from this method is then compared with the outputs obtained from using the complex fuzzy concept lattice method.
