ABSTRACT

Renewal of interest to the technologies of liquid fuel production on the basis of the process of gasification of coal and brown coal all over the world is observed on a background of an incessant rise in prices on oil and natural gas, and also in connection with limitation of stocks of these resources. In parallel with construction of the manufactures based mainly on the technologies, developed in the middle of the last century, large-scale development of the newest methods is conducted. So theoretical and experimental researches directed on development of a method of gasification of coal with application of low temperature plasma are conducted in IEE RAS. The report represents the results of numerical and natural experiments on air-plasma gasification of coals of the Kuznetsk pool. The specific productivity on the product gas 3.4 - 3.8 m3/kg with heat of combustion 4.7 - 3.6 MJ/m3 is achieved in experiments. Calculated estimations of potentially achievable parameters of the process of steam-oxygen plasma gasification (specific gas yield of 2.5 m3/kg, heat of combustion 10 MJ/m3) are obtained.
