ABSTRACT
Critical gas-liquid flow is of central importance in safety assessment of Pressurised Water Reactors (PWR's). This paper reviews the vast range of data available on gas-liquid critical flow, assessing its applicability to the PWR case. The data are reviewed in terms of parametric effects (diameter, length, L/D ratio, geometry, etc.) and the uncertainties associated with the data are analysed.
