ABSTRACT
According to the Stefan−Boltzmann law, surface radiation level increases while increasing the degree of surface blackness. For complex heat transfer, the surface radiation depends on its own and reflected radiation, convection, and losses by heat conductivity of the surface into the environment. In this paper we give some typical simple cases along with appropriate heat transfer models. The given examples show the ambiguous nature of the dependence of radiation on surface radiation characteristics.
