CIRCULAR WAVEGUIDE SLOTTED TILTED BEAM ANTENNA

ABSTRACT

A novel design of a Ku-band circular waveguide slotted antenna is proposed. In contrast to standard antennas of this type, the main beam of the developed antenna is tilted from its surface normal by the value noticeably exceeding the beam width which is necessary, e.g. to reduce the radar cross section of the antenna in the direction toward an illuminated target. The design features of such antennas are considered. The practical design of the antenna developed is presented, the simulation and experimental results compared.
