Some Features of a Supercavitating Model Dynamics
ABSTRACT
The influence of a supercavitating model design parameters on model's range and its perturbed motion features are investigated. It is shown, that propulsive devise can increase a model's range if only a high-efficient fuel was used. Perturbed model motion depends on clearance between a model stern part and a cavity wall. If clearance is big, the motion is a stationary oscillation, with the amplitude and frequency being independent from initial conditions. Different forms of motion are possible if clearance is small: unstable motion, stationary asymmetric oscillation, irregular oscillation.
