ABSTRACT

In the different water bodies of Iran, 91 species represented by 99 infraspecific taxa of order Sphaeropleales are revealed. The maximal number of species 62 species (65 infr. taxa) was found in the river; moreover, 58 species (62 infr. taxa) of reservoirs, 29 species (33 infr. taxa.) of wetlands and 53 species (56 infr. taxa) of ponds were recorded. Similarity between all types of water bodies is observed at a level of Desmodesmus genera and the rivers and reservoirs are most similar. The lakes and ponds are characterized by the greatest specificity. According to the literary analysis, altogether it become knows 122 species represented by 137 infr. taxa of Sphaeropleales in the different water bodies of Iran. Of them, the author was only revealed 60 species (67 infr. taxa).
