P. Karst. and G. lipsiense (Batsch) Atk. Do Not Induce Micronuclei in Cultured Human Lymphocytes JF International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms JO IJM YR 2001 FD 2001-03-01 VO 3 IS 1 OP 4 AB Two Ganoderma species (G. lucidum and G. lipsiense, Ganodermatales) are regarded as popular remedies in Chinese and Japanese traditional medicine and their effectiveness seems to be reasonably acceptable. The cytokinesis-blocked micronucleus assay performed in vitro on human lymphocytes for several concentrations of crude extracts shows that these two mushroom species do not exhibit genotoxic properties (clastogenicity and/or aneugenicity). Moreover, no cytotoxic effect was detected at any dose. PB Begell House LK https://www.dl.begellhouse.com/journals/708ae68d64b17c52,1e7e12444d8980d5,2a683c7166de3846.html
