T1 An Open Resonator with Two Conductive Cylindrical Insertions JF Telecommunications and Radio Engineering JO TRE YR 2006 FD 2006-05-01 VO 65 IS 1-5 SP 293 OP 304 AB The properties of H-polarized oscillations in a 2D open resonator containing two conductive cylindrical insertions are analyzed. The effect of a 1.5 to 2 order of magnitude increase in the diffractional Q-factor for the fundamental mode has been detected and investigated, which can be produced by conductive insertions of a sufficiently large diameter to allocate and provide for cooling of active elements in the open resonant cavity. A possibility is shown for the open resonator with two conductive insertions to be adjusted over a wide frequency range, while retaining the fundamental mode. Results of the electromagnetic modeling are compared with measurements. PB Begell House LK https://www.dl.begellhouse.com/journals/0632a9d54950b268,37cff76f5929b04d,2b9107481aafa55d.html
