T1 Effect of Crude Oil and Diesel Fuel on Activity of Succinate Dehydrogenase and Cytochrome C Oxydase in Organism of Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) JF Hydrobiological Journal JO HYD YR 2011 FD 2011-09-27 VO 47 IS 4 SP 104 OP 109 K1 crude oil K1 diesel fuel K1 succinate dehydrogenase K1 cytochrome-c-oxidase K1 tricarbonic acid cycle K1 glycolysis K1 oxidative phosphorylation K1 liver K1 gills K1 muscles K1 fish AB Impact of the crude oil and diesel fuel on activity of succinate dehydrogenase and cytochrome-c-oxidase in the gills and liver of fish has been studied. Activity of these enzymes was shown to increase under the effect of diesel fuel, and decrease under the effect of the crude oil. Conclusion has been made that row oil is more toxic for the energy metabolism of fishes.
