The analysis uses a semi-empirical turbulent Prandtl number, based on thermal and drag losses for an eddy, and which is structured to retain the simplicity of the Squire turbulence model. Derived expressions agree satisfactorily with available data, including heat transfer data in the usually-neglected region Pr ∼ 0.4. %8 1998-06-01
