These concentrations of phenol carbonic acids even stimulated the growth of the alga cultivated both on the mineral and on the organic cultural medium (with the addition of glucose). It is likely that the presence of Euglenophyta in the thickets of higher aquatic plants is conditioned by their capability to consume organic matter, including biologically active substances, excreted by macrophytes. %8 2016-09-30
