AB An opposite effect of pristine multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and multi-walled iron-filled carbon nanotubes (Fe-MWCNTs) on ATPase activity and superprecipitation reaction of rabbit skeletal muscle natural actomyosin has been revealed, namely, a dose-dependent increase in Mg2+, Ca2+- and K+- ATPase activity and superprecipitation by MWCNTs, and their inhibition by Fe-MWCNTs. This fact opens an outlook for the regulation of contraction-relaxation of the skeletal muscle with both types of investigated CNTs.
