The theoretical results are obtained using vortex models of a wing and a propeller in the framework of ideal incompressible fluid. The experimental measurements were carried out on a simple model of the wing–body configuration with two-blade propellers installed on the wing tips in the pusher or tractor positions. Both the theoretical and experimental investigations have shown that during the right rotation of the tractor propellers it is possible to attain induced drag reduction, which is equal to the increase in the thrust of the pusher propellers installed behind the trailing edge and in the same direction of rotation.
