SCENARIO FOR TRANSITION TO CHAOS THROUGH INTERMITTENCY IN AVALANCHE GENERATOR DIODES WITH AN EXTERNAL SIGNAL

The scenario for the transition to chaos through the intermittency in a microwave avalanchegenerator diode has been investigated. The reverse bias voltage is a main control script parameter. It is shown that with increasing voltage, the portions of regular periods decrease in the oscillations while the portions of irregular periods increase. It has been found that the maximal width of spectral bands of an avalanche-generator diode can reach 34 GHz, and the power of self-oscillations can be tens of watts. The stability of temporal realizations of two discretized avalanche-current samples with close initial conditions on the sections of phase paths with regular and irregular oscillations is investigated.
