This paper is concerned with field analysis based on the ray tracing method for the three-dimensional (3D) closed space such as tunnel, underground and office room. The structure of the closed space treated here is 3D, but it has a kind of symmetry. For example, the cross section of the tunnel is arbitrary in the transverse direction, but it is uniform in the longitudinal direction. On the other hand, floor and ceiling of the underground is parallel. In these cases the ray searching algorithm is almost two-dimensional (2D) and not time consuming. First we describe a ray searching algorithm based on the imaging method. Second we show some ray examples in 2D and 3D ways. Finally we show some numerical results for field data as well as experimental data.
