Enhancement of the Dielectric Constant in Magneto-Dielectric Metamaterial Substrates
要約
A modified broadband strip method has been used to measure the enhancement of dielectric constant of metallodielectric substrates made from one layer of parallel Fe-wires embedded inside a layer of resin, made by a wax rapid prototyping machine. The devices design has been simulated by using FDTD method for parallel and vertical orientation of the wires under the strip (wire). An enhancement of dielectric constant of the substrates with wires inside wax has been verified from S-parameters measurements in both cases relative to the substrate made by only wax and same dimensions. The enhancement of dielectric constants with the change of Fe-wires diameter has been also calculated for free space geometry and for comparison of results.
