IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF SILICON SOLAR CELLS WITH CYLINDRICAL PARABOLIC CONCENTRATING COLLECTORS
要約
The paper presents the experimental study on the effectiveness of cylindrical parabolic concentrating collectors used for the purpose of improving the efficiency of silicon photovoltaic converters. For experiments we have designed and made a stationary solar module composed of
a cylindrical parabolic concentrator and a silicon photo converter.
The measurement results show that a maximum concentration coefficient equal to 3.68 can be obtained and, taking into account the thermal properties of crystals, the concentration coefficient of about 2-3 is really achievable.
Also we have investigated the degradation processes in the silicon solar cell under conditions of the fair sunny weather and in the mode of concentrator defocusing as well as without orientation to the Sun.
Further investigations are necessary to stabilize the thermal behavior of photoelectric converters or to change it with collector elements.
