Investigating Fundamental Quasi-T-Waves in a Pre-Fractal System of Micro-Strip Transmission Lines

Quasi-transverse electromagnetic waves are investigated in a pre-fractal system of micro-strip lines. The problem is formulated in terms of a set of first kind integral equations with electrostatic kernels. Under the assumption that the strip are sufficiently narrow, the problem has been reduced to a generalized eigenvalue problem for a pair of symmetrical matrices. A detailed analysis is given to simplest cases involving generators of self-similar fractals of variable dimension. An efficient computational algorithm is suggested for basic electromagnetic characteristics of the pre-fractal systems and results of numerical calculations are presented.
