Numerical analysis of radiation properties of a reflector antenna near Earth's surface

The paper presents a numerical analysis of radiation characteristics of a circular cylindrical reflector antenna placed near a semiconducting flat earth. The original boundary - value problem is formulated in terms of dual equations subject to regularization in the Riemann-Hilbert technique. The resulting Fredholm matrix equation of the second kind is solved numerically to a guaranteed accuracy. Directional properties of the feed are included in the analysis with the help of the complex source point (CSP) method. The effect of the reflecting earth on the antenna directivity has been studied for different positions of the feed. The numerical results are compared with parameters of the antenna in free space.
