Electromagnetic Wave Scattering by Statistically Irregular Walls of a Spherical Waveguide: Average Field

要約

The Fourier expansion in eigenfunctions of the longitudinal operator has been determined within Bourret's approximation, for the average electromagnetic field scattered by small random irregularities of the walls of a spherical waveguide characterized by small surface impedances η1 and η2. Reflection factors of the spherical waves involved in the average field expansion are expressed in terms of effective impedances of multipole spherical waves. The transition to the case of scattering by a solitary sphere is analyzed, which case was studied earlier.
