The influence of trematodes on the activity of transamination enzymes in Viviparus viviparous were under study. It was stated that levels of alanine transaminase (ALT) activity demonstrated no differences in all studied animals. At the same time, aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity in males was 1.7 times higher. ALT activity in Viviparus viviparous infested with parthenitae and cercariae of Echinoparyphium petrowi remained at the normal level or even rose in females, while it lowered in males. AST activity declined in all infested individuals.
