Modeling of Nucleate Boiling Heat Transfer in a Film Formed by an Impinging Jet

要約

A simple model of heat transfer for turbulent liquid films with nucleate boiling formed by impinging jets has been postulated. The case with a film developing outside the stagnation region is considered. In such a case the model is derived on the basis of a change in the film thickness due to inertia and friction forces. Incorporated into the model is a blowing parameter, which models the transverse transport of momentum caused by departing bubbles. Velocity and temperature distributions in the liquid film have been calculated, which enabled determination of the corresponding heat transfer coefficient and Nusselt number.
