A Comparative Study of In-Tube Boiling on Plain and High Flux Coated Surfaces
要約
Preliminary analysis of experimental results obtained for flow boiling of R113 in an internally coated tube with a High Flux porous coating are reported. These results were obtained during commissioning of the special boiling surface test-section. This test-section is constructed from three sections - a central plain section and a coated section on the either side. The results show that there is nearly an order of magnitude enhancement in boiling heat transfer coefficient due to porous coating on the tube wall. Some of the measured data show the occurrence of dry-out on the top coated part of the test-section. These data indicate that it is the high heat flux rather than high vapour quality that is causing the dryout. This suggests that the dry-out on the porous coated surface may occur because of vapour blanketing rather than drying out of the liquid film.
