NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE HEAT TRANSFER ENHANCEMENT OF NANOFLUIDS USING A NONHOMOGENEOUS MODEL
要約
A numerical study on the convective heat transfer of water-γ-Al2O3 nanofluids flowing through a two-dimensional (infinite depth) horizontal rectangular duct, where the top and bottom walls are two isothermal symmetric heat sources, has been performed. To do this, a nonhomogeneous two-component model has been used. All of the properties have been assumed to be temperature dependent as well as particle concentration dependent. The effects of the nonuniform distribution of particles on the heat transfer coefficient and wall shear stress have been shown. The results obtained illustrate that nonuniform distribution of the nanoparticles causes the enhancement of the heat transfer coefficient while the wall shear stress decreases when compared with the uniform volume fraction.
