Formulas for crack propagation energy (i.e., the energy release rate) based on the principle of fracture mechanics are proposed for both individual and combined action of the tear moment, transverse tear load, and axial shear load in the crack tip of an adhesive bonded joint. The rate of fatigue crack growth can be determined based on the baseline of the rate of the fatigue crack growth obtained experimentally during symmetrical tear with two moments at stress ratio R = 0 and the crack propagation energy during delamination of the adhesive joint under cyclic loading with an arbitrary stress ratio. All of the proposed formulas are experimentally verified.
