要約

The levels of glycoproteins and their specific carbohydrate components, total protein, hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leucocytes, middle weight molecules, and circulating immune complexes were studied in the blood of female 3-months-old rats fed by native and transgenic soybeans within 120 days. The reproductive function and the fetal weight ratios were analyzed. The studies were conducted in three groups of female rats. Animals of group 1 (control) were kept on a balanced diet during the study period. Animals of groups II and III (experimental) received a diet according to the scheme of the control group, but 30% of a nutritional diet was replaced by conventional and transgenic soybeans, respectively. It has been shown that soy feeding has no significant effect on hematological parameters in the second and the third experimental groups versus the control group. However, a diet containing either natural or genetically modified soybeans has a significant impact on the content of glycoproteins and their specific carbohydrate components, on female's fertility, and the fetal /female weight ratio. Their impact on the immune system is less pronounced. A pooled analysis of the results obtained gives grounds to conclusion that there is no definite negative or positive impact of genetically modified soy components on the physiological state of female rats compared with animals fed by natural soybeans.
