Impact of Late Transplantation of Fetal Neural Tissue on Hippocampal Cytoarchitectonics in Remote Period after Transient Global Cerebral Ischemia in Rats
要約
The effect of transplantation of fetal neural tissue (FNT) on recovery of hippocampal structure was studied in rats after ischemia. Transient global ischemia (TGI) of the forebrain in rats aged 13.2 months ± 2.4 months was induced by 20-minute four-vessel occlusion. FNT suspension was prepared from hippocampal CA1 area and primordial dentate gyrus of rat fetuses on the 18 − 19th day of embryonic development. FNT was stereotactically transplanted into the CA1 area of the hippocampus in thirty days after TGI. Linear density of pyramidal cells, the width of the stratum radiatum of CA1 area, dentate gyrus and CA4 area morphology were studied in hippocampal slices by light microscopy 2, 4 and 7 months after TGI, and 1, 3, and 6 months after FNT transplantation. We have found that late FNT transplantation provides significant and prolonged potentiation of hippocampal cytoarchitectonics recovery after TGI in rat brain.
