AB Content of glycogen in mussels <i>Mytilus galloprovincialis</i> in different biotopes and sites with different water exchange rate and anthropogenic load has been studied. Glycogen content in the mussels' body was shown to characterize their state in connection with habitat peculiarities and serve as indicator of environmental conditions.
