T1 CHARACTERISTICS OF A SHORT DIPOLE LOADED BY DISKS JF Radio Physics and Radio Astronomy JO RPRA YR 2011 FD 2011-12-08 VO 2 IS 4 SP 345 OP 352 K1 dipole K1 stub antenna K1 disk load K1 electrically small antenna K1 underlying surface AB An approximate mathematical model has been constructed for a small compared to wavelength asymmetrical dipole antenna loaded by metal disks of unequal diameters at both ends of the dipole. In proximity of the first low-frequency resonance, the current amplitude at the feed point and the input impedance are presented versus frequency for a dipole antenna and for a disk top-loaded stub antenna mounted on a finite-size base.
