It is shown by the method of matched asymptotic expansions that in a separated flow region an interaction of the boundary layer and outer reverse flow appears at a certain body thickness. This occurs in a small—of the order Re-1/12—vicinity of zero surface friction point. The problem for the interaction region reduces to the known nonlinear integro-differential equation, and its solution describes the secondary separation flow with closed streamlines. %8 2019-01-15
