The method for calculating the spectral and integral absorptivities of vibrational-rotat1onal bands of a molecular pas 1s developed and ensures a high accuracy (about 5%) of the results obtained. This method is implemented in calculations of the spectral and integral absorptivities of CO2 2.7 μm and 15 μm and CO 4.7 μm bands over a wide range of the governing parameters. Spectral differential and integral radiation characteristics are presented in detail, and some properties of radiation transfer in the above bands are found and explained. The data obtained and the specific features of the IR radiation characteristics are shown to be important in developing effective methods of diagnostics of hlgh-temperature CO2 and CO molecule-containing media.
