要約

This study explores the possibility to sensitise the standard k − ε model, used in conjunction with the wall function approach, to rotational effects by a modification of the eddy-viscosity coefficent. This modification has been derived through a phenomenological method based on equilibrium and bifurcation analysis of homogeneous turbulence. It has been proved to be succesful in conjuntion with the novel near-wall ν2f model, and the objective of the present study has therefore been to investigate if this modification also works well for industrial closure models. The results obtained so far are encouraging and further testing are therefore being conducted.
