RADIATION FROM A NARROW SLOT IN THE END FACE WALL OF A SEMI-INFINITE RECTANGULAR WAVEGUIDE WITH A DIELECTRIC INSERTION INSIDE. PART 2. CALCULATIONS AND EXPERIMENT

RESUMO

The matching with outer half-space of a segment of rectangular waveguide having a dielectric plug inside and a narrow slot cut in the end wall is studied. Various relations between permittivity of the insert and of the dielectric filling the half-outer space are considered. It is shown that good matching can be attained for a slot of some length by means of using the dielectric insert of certain size inside the waveguide.
