RESUMO

The interaction of electromagnetic oscillations with an electron flow passing through an inhomogeneous structure consisting of layers having different electromagnetic properties and framed on the edges by perfectly conducting surfaces is investigated. The eigen oscillation frequencies of the electromagnetic field of such a structure and their decrements (increments) resulting from the mutual conversion of the kinetic energy of a beam particle and the electromagnetic field energy are determined.
