Natural Oscillations in Waveguide-Dielectric Resonators Based on Sections of Partially Filled Rectangular Waveguides

Qualitative characteristics of the eigenfrequency spectrum of Hm0n natural oscillations in waveguide-dielectric resonators, formed by sections of partially filled rectangular waveguides, have been investigated on the basis of the rigorous statement and solution of the spectral boundary-value problem. The conditions have been found for and their characteristic features have been described of the regimes of total absorption and mode conversion for the case of a lossy dielectric filling. The theoretical results are justified through numerical analysis of the spectral dependencies and fields of natural oscillations in resonators with below cutoff and non below cutoff output arms.
