RESUMO

With the continuous development and needs of society, cables have gradually replaced overhead bare wires. However, the environment in which the cable is laid is relatively harsh, and there is a complex electromagnetic interference. Therefore, this severely inhibits the troubleshooting and positioning of cable faults. At the same time, the cable joint is a high-incidence zone caused by cable failure. According to statistics, about 70% of the cable failure is in the cable junction. Therefore, it has important practical significance for fault detection and research. Therefore, this paper uses the traveling wave method to detect the cable joint failure, and clarifies the feasibility and accuracy of the method, and has made certain contributions to the popularization of the cable.
