EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF INFORMATION TRANSMISSION VIA A LASER COMMUNICATION LINE USING NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL AEROSOL FORMATIONS

RESUMO

Methods for increasing the quality of operation of laser communication lines (operation, stability, and accessibility) as well as methods for evaluation of their efficiency are proposed. The methods are based on the use of aerosol formations, which ensures multichannel duplication of the basic optical channel. The generated additional channels are less critical to the directivity of the optical antenna directional patterns and the obstacles appearing along the optical signal propagation path. As regards the discussed methods, an adaptive method for the transmitter emission power control is proposed.
