NATURALIZATION OF IMAGES IN SCANNING MICROWAVE MICROSCOPY
RESUMO
The paper presents a new imaging method in scanning microwave microscopy. It is based on the analytic approximation of measured fundamental signal transformation characteristics obtained by solving electrodynamic problems with the use of direct numerical methods. The results show that the resonant frequency shift signal image does not correspond to the virtually given profiles of the surface irregularity and permittivity. We propose to perform profile imaging with the relations obtained by the analytical approximation of fundamental signal transformation characteristics. The dependence of the Q-factor on tanδ has been investigated. It is shown that there is a signal permitting to obtain the surface electric conductance distribution without reconstruction due to its proportionality to this parameter.
