THE NEW CONCEPT OF BLOCK SYMMETRIC CIPHERS DESIGN

RESUMO

The principles are discussed of the Rijnsael cipher development. These principles have allowed this cipher to take a leading position in the block symmetric ciphers design. The IDEA NXT cipher is marked as the progressive development as well. As has been intimated, despite their novelty and achieved high rates of efficiency of the considered ciphers, the research conducted recently indicates the ways to improve them further and possibilities of building more advanced design of an encryption conversion. These potentialities are reflected in the proposed new design concept for block symmetric ciphers based on a number of extended positions. Its realizations is demonstrated an the use of principles of the controlled permutational transforms. The proposed design is the simplicity and transparency of solutions. In terms pf provable resistance to attacks of the differential and linear cryptanalysis as well as productivity the proposed design is highly comparative with the acknowledged leader of the technology of the Rijndael (AES) symmetric encryption block cipher. On the dynamics of arrival of the code as a random mapping (for a minimum number of the activated S-blocks of the first second cycles) they are in excess of practically all known solutions.
