ELECTRODYNAMIC MODEL OF THE OPEN RESONATOR WITH A DIELECTRIC LAYER
RESUMO
An approximate mathematical model is constructed for the resonant cavity with a dielectric layer and respective theoretical analysis is performed. In the case of excitation of high-quality oscillations such a structure can be regarded as an equivalent of the open hemispherical resonant cavity with a segment of a short-circuited oversized waveguide in the center of a plane mirror. Eigenmode frequencies are analyzed in dependence on the dielectric layer thickness and permittivity. It is shown that the dependences are of a quasiperiodic character.
