Intensification of Field at the Interface of Two Media by Means of a Concentrated Beam

RESUMO

Refraction of a concentrated wave beam obliquely incident on the interface of two isotropic dielectric half-spaces is considered. An asymptotic expression for the field is obtained. A normally distributed beam incident under the angle exceeding the angle of total internal reflection is studied. The field of a surface wave excited by such a beam is found.
