Estimation of the Depth Resolution for a Ground Penetrating Radar

RESUMO

A possibility of improvement of the depth resolution is shown for a sounding signal having a linear frequency modulation, under a constant depth penetration. The estimation is done with an account of a signal deformation caused by the dispersion of soil characteristics compensated by a special weighted signal processing.
