RESUMO

The oscillation of a point source under the conditions of a sharp time leap of plasma density isinvestigated using the integral equations method. The cases of operation of the source both inan infinite medium and in a half‐spaceare considered. Origination of the surface wave (plasmon polariton) is possible in the latter case.
