RESUMO

Progress of radar methods for oil spill detection in sea areas is reviewed. The microwave and HF radar techniques are discussed for ground-based and shipborne facilities, as well as for air/spaceborne radars. Methods of spectral and time-domain data processing are suggested and measurement results presented.
