Electronically Scanning Multifrequency Antennas with Controlled Lenses

RESUMO

Potentialities of creating electronically scanning antennas operating in several frequency ranges are considered. It is shown that electronically controlled refractive index lenses have a number of advantages in comparison with multielement phased antenna arrays (AA). The implementation of the antennas under discussion allows one to significantly simplify design and fabrication technology of millimeter and centimeter wave range antennas enabling to make them electronically controlled beam scanning in a wide range of an angular sector.
