Guiding and Radiating Properties of a Hybrid Metal-Dielectric Structure

RESUMO

The experimental results of guiding and radiating properties of hybrid metal-dielectric structure are represented. This design is based on the modified insulated image guide. The principle possibility of eigenmode guiding with low VSWR and attenuation is shown. It is established that the radiating characteristics depend on the parameters of a single discontinuity such as a narrow slot.
