CALCULATION OF THE QUANTIZER FOR SUBBAND WAVELET CODING OF A NOISY IMAGE

RESUMO

Versions of quantizers for subband wavelet coding of noisy images are discussed. An original method for calculating the quantizer levels based on approximation of the decay curve for sorted wavelet coefficients in each subband is proposed. The bit quota distribution within the subband is analyzed and the modeling results are presented.
