RESUMO
For a boron particle suspension, ignition waves represent the collective behaviour of a large number of particles. By introducing the concept of a "dressed" particle, these waves may be asymptotically described in terms of a phase space process for an individual particle. An investigation of the bifurcation set associated with an appropriately defined state surface of a particle reveals that various unconventional ignition pathways exist which have not been explored to date.
