On Solution of Sylvester Equation

RESUMO

In terms of coefficients of the characteristic polynomial of one of matrix coefficients of the Sylvester equation the expression for the exact solution has been presented. Various computing procedures of finding the solution have been offered. One of these procedures can be considered as generalization for the case of the Sylvester equations of the known method of finding the solution of the Lyapunov equation by summation of infinite series. The efficiency of offered computing procedures has been illustrated.
